More than 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. The amount of flour is approximate, so you may need slightly more or less depending on the dough consistency. Boil the water beforehand and let it cool until warm. You can use either dry or fresh yeast. Choose a neutral refined vegetable oil.
Step 2
Measure 2 tablespoons of the total water amount. It should be warm, about 98–100°F, but not hot. Add the yeast and stir, then add the sugar and mix again. Leave for 10 minutes. The mixture should begin to bubble and form a foamy layer on top, showing that the yeast is active.
Step 3
Crack the egg into a deep bowl, add the salt and whisk with a fork until smooth. Pour in the remaining warm water and mix.
Step 4
Sift the flour over the egg and water mixture, then level the flour lightly with a spoon.
Step 5
By this time, the yeast mixture should be foamy and ready to use.
Step 6
Pour the yeast mixture over the flour. Gently mix it into the flour first without disturbing the liquid layer underneath. Once the yeast is coated with flour, begin mixing everything together. Start with a spoon, then knead by hand for at least 5 minutes, adding a little flour or water if necessary. The dough should remain sticky but not runny; do not make it too firm, or the bread may turn out dense.
Step 7
Pour in the vegetable oil and continue kneading, stretching and folding the dough as you work. The finished dough should be smooth and elastic but still slightly sticky. Shape it into a ball.
Step 8
Grease the multicooker bowl with a small amount of vegetable oil and place the dough inside. Set the bowl in the multicooker, cover with the lid and leave at room temperature for 2 hours to rise.
Step 9
The dough should approximately double in volume. Close the multicooker and select the program suitable for baking. Set the cooking time to 1 hour.
Step 10
When the program ends, open the lid and carefully remove the bread using the steaming basket. If it sticks to the sides, gently loosen it with a spatula.
Step 11
Turn the bread over and return it to the bowl. Bake for another 20–40 minutes, depending on the power of your multicooker.
Step 12
Remove the finished bread using the steaming basket and wrap it in a clean towel until completely cool.
Step 13
Alternatively, serve the bread while still warm.
