Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients according to the list. Rinse the turkey thighs, pat them dry with paper towels, remove the skin, and cut the meat off the bones. You can use the bones later for making broth, if you like.
Step 2
Wash the carrot and onion and dry them. Peel the carrot. Remove the onion skin.
Step 3
Cut the carrot into rounds or half-rounds. Slice the onion into rings or half-rings. Do not chop the vegetables too finely, because they will be stewed for a long time. If they are cut too small, they may fall apart during cooking.
Step 4
Cut the turkey fillet into moderately large pieces. Transfer the chopped vegetables and meat to the multicooker bowl. Add all the spices and salt. Mix well. Pour in 1 glass of boiled water.
Step 5
Close the multicooker with the lid and set it to the Stew mode. I set the time for 2 hours, but the exact time depends on your appliance. If you have a multicooker-pressure cooker, you will need less time. Read the instruction manual for your machine and use it as your guide. After 40 minutes to 1 hour, you can check whether the dish is done.
Step 6
Any meat can be used for this recipe, not only poultry but also beef, pork, or rabbit. The main thing is to use fillet, because then the dish turns out especially tender and light.
Step 7
Serve the finished turkey with any side dish of vegetables, grains, or pasta. It also goes very well with a salad of fresh vegetables and assorted preserves such as marinated mushrooms, pickled cucumbers, tomatoes, or pepper and tomato relish.
