Tender Turkey Shashlik on the Grill
It turns out perfectly: tender, juicy, and very aromatic. Tender turkey shashlik is not difficult to prepare. The turkey becomes juicy and delicate thanks to the marinade, which contains many ingredients that make the meat tender and fragrant. In addition, the recipe recommends using turkey thighs for the shashlik, as they are much more tender than the other parts of the bird.

- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
Pour the specified amount of olive oil into a small bowl, then measure in the balsamic vinegar and soy sauce. Mix everything well. Now add the Dijon mustard to the bowl, then add the Italian herbs and the spices, with a five-pepper blend being ideal. Close the bowl tightly with a lid and shake everything well until the ingredients are fully combined. The marinade is ready, and you can move on to the next stage.
Step 2
Wash the turkey thighs, then dry them with paper towels by blotting away the excess moisture, and place the meat on a cutting board. Cut the turkey into large pieces of approximately equal size. Put the meat pieces into a large container.
Step 3
Peel the onion, rinse it with cold water, and dry it with a paper towel. Then chop the onion very finely and transfer it to a sieve, squeezing out the juice. Next add the chopped onion to the turkey meat and mix everything well, as if rubbing the onion into the meat.
Step 4
Pour the marinade over the turkey pieces and mix everything well. Cover the container tightly with a lid and place it in a cold place for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Step 5
Prepare the grill in advance. When the coals are almost ready, take out the meat, which has had time to marinate well. Prepare the skewers. Thread the turkey thigh pieces onto them and grill until cooked through over the hot coals. Do not forget to turn the meat during cooking so that it cooks well and browns on all sides.
Step 6
When the meat is almost fully cooked, add finely chopped fresh dill on top. Keep the meat over the heat for a few more minutes, then remove it from the grill and place it on a large serving dish.
