Preparation
Step 1
How do you make stewed beef in a multicooker with potatoes? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Rinse the boneless beef under running water, trim off any fat and sinews if there are any. This will make the dish less calorie-dense and the meat more tender. Cut the beef into small pieces. This way the meat will cook faster. Any beef cut suitable for frying or stewing will work for this dish. Place the chopped beef into the multicooker bowl.
Step 2
Peel the onion and finely chop it. It is better to use a white onion, as it will look more harmonious in the finished dish. Wash the carrot under running water, scrubbing the skin with a brush. Peel the carrot and grate it on a coarse grater. If you wish, you can cut the carrot with a knife so it definitely remains visible in the finished dish. Add the onion and carrot to the meat.
Step 3
Wash the bell pepper under running water. It is better to use a red one, though I used a yellow one. There is no difference in taste, but the red one would look more striking. Remove the stem and seeds from the pepper and cut it into cubes. Place it into the multicooker.
Step 4
Wash the potatoes under running water, scrubbing the skin with a brush, and peel them. Cut the potatoes into medium cubes and add them to the multicooker. Next, pour in the tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste. At this stage, you can also add any other favorite spices. I added dried herbes de Provence.
Step 5
Add the water and stir. Cook the beef with potatoes and vegetables on the Stew or Slow Cook setting for 30-50 minutes. Choose the time and setting according to the characteristics of your appliance. My multicooker takes a long time to cook potatoes. If your multicooker is more powerful, then it is better to add the potatoes 20 minutes before the end of cooking, otherwise they may turn to mash. Enjoy your meal!
