Ingredients
Table
Table of volume measurements:
- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
For this recipe, choose potatoes and steaks of approximately the same size. This is necessary so they cook evenly. At the beginning, cut the potatoes into two equal halves.
Step 2
Slice the pork fat or pork belly into thin layers.
Step 3
Cut the onion into rings.
Step 4
Wrap the potatoes in foil, placing layers of pork belly and onion inside. Do not forget to season with salt and pepper. Dill or parsley fit these layers very well. If you do not have those herbs on hand, you can replace them with fennel.
Step 5
To make the spice coating for the meat, mix fennel, paprika, black pepper, and salt in a bowl, adding olive oil as well.
Step 6
Rub the steaks with the prepared mixture and wrap them in several layers of foil so the juices do not escape. Place rosemary into each wrapped piece of meat for extra aroma.
Step 7
Place the prepared foil-wrapped ingredients evenly among the coals so that contact with the coals is the same on all sides. The potatoes will need about half an hour to cook, while the meat will take about twenty minutes. The easiest way to check whether the potatoes are done is by piercing them with a knife.
Step 8
This dish is perfect for a table set for the opening of picnic season or the cottage season. Enjoy your meal!
