About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
When buying, choose fish with a thin ice glaze.
Step 2
Thaw the fish at room temperature. Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut into small pieces and season with salt and spices (black pepper or a fish spice mix).
Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine 1 egg with flour.
Step 4
Add a pinch of salt and whisk until smooth. The batter should be slightly runny.
Step 5
Dip each piece of fish in the batter, coating evenly on all sides.
Step 6
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the fish in the hot pan and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden.
Step 7
The fish will turn beautifully golden and crisp. Remove it onto paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Step 8
Serve hot! Optionally add mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables, or a sauce of your choice. Enjoy!
