Soft Viennese Waffles Baked in the Oven (Silicone Mold)
Made from simple ingredients - insanely tasty, perfect for a kid’s breakfast! Soft Viennese waffles baked in the oven are great both hot and cold. The batter is very easy: just mix everything—even a beginner can handle it. Serve with any sauce, syrup, sour cream, or berries.

Preparation
Step 1
How to make soft Viennese waffles in the oven in a silicone mold? Prepare the ingredients. Use top-grade flour; milk can be any fat content. Take the butter out of the fridge in advance - it should be at room temperature.
Step 2
When the butter has softened, rub it with sugar and vanilla sugar until smooth and creamy.
Step 3
Add the raw eggs to the butter mixture one at a time.
Step 4
Each time, beat well with a mixer or blender until smooth.
Step 5
Mix the flour with baking powder and sift through a fine sieve. This aerates it, making the waffles fluffier and more tender. Add the flour to the egg-butter mixture little by little, mixing into a batter. Keep in mind you may need more or less flour - go by the batter consistency.
Step 6
Pour the milk into the batter in portions. Mix until smooth. The batter should be like rich sour cream - not too thick. Let the batter rest for 20 minutes at room temperature.
Step 7
Grease the waffle molds with butter. If you have an electric waffle maker, you can bake the waffles in it. I don’t have one, so I bake them in the oven.
Step 8
Pour the batter into the waffle molds.
Step 9
Bake at 190°C / 374°F for about 20-25 minutes, until the waffles brown on the bottom. Exact time and temperature depend on your oven.
Step 10
The finished waffles should release easily from the sides of the mold.
Step 11
Serve with jam, sour cream, sweetened condensed milk, sweet cream, chocolate spread, or syrup.
