Preparation
Step 1
Main ingredients needed to make a fresh, tasty, vitamin-rich salad. Wash all the vegetables thoroughly.
Step 2
Cut the Napa cabbage into strips. Make the strips thinner, it will taste much better that way.
Step 3
Tear or chop the green lettuce leaves as you like and add them to the cabbage. Lettuce, leaf lettuce, iceberg, or romaine all work well in this salad.
Step 4
Cut the red onion into half-rings or rings. Instead of red onion, you can use shallot or white salad onion. These types pair very well with vegetables, have a milder taste, and are not very bitter.
Step 5
Next, add the cucumber cut into thin slices and the cherry tomatoes to the salad bowl. Cut some of the tomatoes in half and leave a few whole, so the salad looks prettier. If you do not have cherry tomatoes on hand, use regular tomatoes. Choose seasonal, juicy, fleshy vegetables, they are sweeter and more aromatic.
Step 6
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and cut the fruit into small cubes. You can also mash the avocado into small pieces with a fork.
Step 7
Cut the brined cheese into pieces of different sizes or crumble it with your fingers. I most often break it up by hand. You can use feta, Adyghe cheese, or any other salty cheese. Add it to the salad.
Step 8
Chop the herbs finely and add them to the salad bowl. I usually use dill and parsley. Add salt and pepper to taste and drizzle vegetable oil over the top.
Step 9
Mix everything well. If desired, sprinkle with allspice or ground black pepper before serving. The salad is ready!
