Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can buy ready-made boiled condensed milk, but I prefer the taste of homemade. I boil a sealed can of regular sweetened condensed milk in simmering water for 2 hours, then let it cool (still sealed). Corn puffs are very light - even a small weight equals a large volume.
Step 2
Cut the corn puffs into pieces about 15 cm long. I cut each puff into 3 parts.
Step 3
Chop the walnuts with a knife and toast them in a dry pan until fragrant. Transfer them to a plate so they do not burn on the warm pan.
Step 4
Melt the butter and add the boiled condensed milk. One can is enough.
Step 5
Heat the mixture while stirring until smooth. The condensed milk with butter will be slightly thick.
Step 6
Place the sliced corn puffs into a large bowl and pour the condensed milk mixture over them.
Step 7
Add the toasted walnuts to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Step 8
To assemble the cake, place a ring mold on a plate and line the sides with acetate film. Add the corn puff mixture.
Step 9
Press down with a glass to compact the mixture so the puffs sit tightly together. Add all the mixture into the mold. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2-3 hours to set.
Step 10
Remove the ring and film. If desired, decorate with melted chocolate. The quick and tasty corn puff cake is ready! Enjoy!
