Pumpkin Pie with Sweetened Condensed Milk

- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
Add salt and sugar to the flour and mix.
Step 2
Grate the cold butter on a grater.
Step 3
Rub it into the flour until you get fine crumbs.
Step 4
Add ice-cold water.
Step 5
Knead the dough.
Step 6
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Roll the dough out to about 3-4 mm (about 1/8 inch) thick.

Place it into a baking pan.

Trim the edges.

Wrap the extra dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate.

Line the crust with baking parchment.

Add pie weights (rice, beans). Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 25 minutes. Remove the pan, take out the weights, and let it cool slightly.

Roll out the remaining dough and cut out leaf shapes.

Brush them with egg white and bake at 180°C / 350°F until golden.

In a bowl, mix pumpkin purée and sweetened condensed milk.

Add cinnamon, ginger, salt, and nutmeg; mix.

Add the eggs and mix until smooth.

Pour the filling into the pan and bake at 180°C / 350°F for 55-60 minutes. Let the pie cool, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
