Puff Pastry Meat Pie
Appetizing, original, hearty, and incredibly delicious! Puff pastry meat pie resembles a closed pizza - ground meat mixed with tomatoes, cheese, bacon, and sauce makes the filling juicy and flavorful. Using ready-made dough allows you to cook it quickly.

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients for the filling. Any minced meat will work - pork, beef, chicken, or turkey. Use smoked or boiled-smoked bacon. Cherry tomatoes or regular ones are fine, and any cheese - hard, semi-hard, or soft.
Step 2
To make the filling: heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Add the minced meat and fry over medium heat, stirring constantly, until cooked through - about 15 minutes.
Step 3
Add Provençal herbs, ground pepper, and salt at the end. Mix well, then remove from heat.
Step 4
Slice the bacon into thin strips.
Step 5
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
Step 6
Wash and slice the tomatoes into rounds.

Prepare the sauce. You can replace tomato paste with pureed tomatoes or ketchup.

To make the sauce, mix tomato paste with mayonnaise until smooth.

For the crusts, use puff pastry (yeast or regular). Sheets are easiest to work with. Thaw in the refrigerator, separating the sheets to prevent sticking.

Roll out each sheet on a floured surface to make two even rectangles.

Place one sheet on a parchment-lined baking tray greased with oil, forming small edges. Spread the sauce evenly. (You can also bake in a form for a taller pie.)

Spread the cooked minced meat evenly over the dough.

Add a layer of tomato slices.

Place the bacon strips on top.

Sprinkle grated cheese over everything.

Cover with the second sheet of dough and pinch the edges to seal. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Let the pie cool slightly, slice, and serve. Enjoy!
