Preparation
Step 1
To make tasty no-yeast layered buns with a juicy filling, prepare the needed ingredients.
Step 2
Sift 550 g flour into a large bowl, then add 1/2 tsp salt.
Step 3
While stirring, pour in 300 ml warm boiled water and knead the dough.
Step 4
Turn the dough out onto the table and knead for 5 minutes. Shape it and divide into 8 equal pieces.
Step 5
Roll each piece of dough into a fairly tight ball.
Step 6
Pour 100 g melted butter into a small bowl, then add 50 g vegetable oil and mix well.
Step 7
Flatten each dough ball into a round about 20 cm in diameter. Put 1 tsp of the butter–oil mixture on each round and spread it evenly.
Step 8
Place the rounds one by one onto a plate and spread a generous layer of the oil mixture over each one.
Step 9
Stack the oiled rounds into a pile on the plate.
Step 10
Cover the stacked rounds with a plastic bag and let rest for 15-20 minutes.
Step 11
For the filling, put 300 g farmer’s cheese (curds) into a deep bowl.
Step 12
Add 100 g raisins, rinsed and dried.
Step 13
Add 1 apple, peeled and cut into small pieces.
Step 14
Add 1 tsp vanilla sugar.
Step 15
Crack 1 egg into a separate bowl.
Step 16
Beat the egg well until smooth.
Step 17
Pour the beaten egg into the curd mixture.
Step 18
Mix everything well - the filling is ready.
Step 19
Lightly grease the work surface with a little oil. Lay out the rounds one by one and stretch each as much as possible from the center toward the edges.
Step 20
Fold the edges of each stretched round toward the center.
Step 21
Fold up the bottom edge of each round.
Step 22
Spread an even layer of filling on each round.
Step 23
Carefully roll each filled round into a fairly tight log.
Step 24
Tuck in the ends of each roll well.
Step 25
Shape the rolls into buns of the desired size.
Step 26
Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush the tops with beaten egg, then bake in an oven preheated to 200°C / 392°F.
Step 27
After 20-25 minutes, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the buns cool a little.
Step 28
