Golden, appetizing, layered, juicy - so very tasty! Potato casserole in a multicooker is made from very thinly sliced potatoes with an egg-and-milk pour-over. Simple fermented cheese and fried onion add a piquant touch. Great for lunch or dinner, using the most basic ingredients.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you make potato casserole with cheese in a multicooker? Prepare the ingredients. Use low-starch potatoes - they hold their shape during cooking. Besides onion, you can add mushrooms, ground meat, or any other vegetables.
Step 2
Scrub the potatoes well under running water, then peel them. Slice the potatoes into very thin rounds. You can use a mandoline slicer, or a regular grater that has a slicing slot.
Step 3
Put the sliced potatoes in a bowl and cover with clean cold water. Let stand for 10 minutes - this rinses off excess starch so the potatoes won’t fall apart while baking.
Step 4
Then spread the potato slices on a paper towel to dry.
Step 5
Slice the onion into thin half-rings.
Step 6
Set the multicooker to a frying/sauté setting. Add butter to the bowl. Once melted, add the onion. Fry, stirring, until golden, about 10 minutes. Remove the onion from the bowl. If you’re making the casserole with ground meat, mushrooms, or vegetables, sauté them together with the onion until half-cooked.
Step 7
Make the custard mixture. Crack the eggs into a bowl and pour in the milk. Lightly beat with a fork. Season with salt and pepper and mix. You can also add any spices to taste. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Add half of the cheese to the custard and mix.
Step 8
Assemble the casserole. Lay a little more than half of the potatoes on the bottom, arranging them neatly in layers. Lightly salt. Add the fried onion. Pour the custard over everything.
Step 9
Layer the remaining potatoes on top, salt them, and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Close the multicooker lid and select a baking program. Mine is “Bake,” but yours may be named differently. Set the time to 1 hour.
Step 10
After the signal, open the lid and check doneness - pierce the potatoes; they should be soft. If not done, continue baking. Let the finished casserole cool slightly, then carefully remove it using a plate.
Step 11
Serve the casserole. Enjoy!
