Preparation
Step 1
How to make pork gravy in a skillet? Prepare the ingredients. Choose boneless pork with very little fat. You can adjust the vegetable proportions to your taste.
Step 2
Rinse the meat under running water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut into small pieces.
Step 3
Pour vegetable oil into a hot skillet and fry the meat for about 5-7 minutes, until it starts to brown.
Step 4
Meanwhile, peel the onion and carrot and rinse them. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot.
Step 5
Add the chopped vegetables to the skillet with the meat and stir. Fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 6
Add water and simmer the meat, covered, over low heat until tender. This will take about 30-50 minutes, depending on your stove. Season with salt and spices to taste.
Step 7
Stir the tomato paste into a small amount of water and pour it into the skillet. If you want a thicker gravy, mix 1 tablespoon of flour into the tomato paste at this stage.
Step 8
Stir. For aroma, add garlic pressed through a garlic press. Heat everything together for another 3-5 minutes.
Step 9
The pork gravy is ready! Serve it with pasta, rice, or buckwheat. Enjoy!
