Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Rub the butter with sugar until smooth (the butter should be soft, at room temperature - take it out of the fridge about an hour before cooking). I used a regular fork, but you can use a blender. Add 5 eggs (one at a time) and whisk well.
Step 2
Now add the cinnamon and baking powder. Cinnamon is optional in this recipe - it’s a matter of taste. If you prefer, replace it with vanillin or vanilla sugar. Add the flour (sifted beforehand) and mix.
Step 3
All that’s left is to add finely chopped dark chocolate (you can grate it) and mix thoroughly.
Step 4
The batter is ready! Grease a 22 cm (8.7 in) baking pan with oil (I used sunflower oil) and pour the batter into the pan.
Step 5
Slice the pear into small strips and arrange on top of the batter in a circle (you can press them slightly into the batter). Bake for 35 minutes at 180°C (356°F). Keep in mind all ovens differ, so it may take a bit more or less time. Check doneness with a wooden skewer (toothpick).
