Pear Cake Baked in the Oven
Amazingly tender, fabulously tasty and incredibly aromatic! For the first time I baked a pear cake from a cream-based batter. The taste of this sponge won over both me and my family. The cake is made very simply and quickly, yet it can decorate even a festive table. It pairs perfectly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Preparation
Step 1
How do you make pear cake in the oven? Prepare all the ingredients. I chose red pears – they look beautiful in the cake and I like their flavor. You can choose other pears, but they must be tasty. You can make this cake from any variety of pears; the main thing is that they are not too firm and are aromatic.
Step 2
Make the batter: beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Pour in the cream and mix with a mixer.
Step 4
Sift the flour together with the baking powder and add it to the beaten eggs. Mix until smooth. Keep in mind that you may need a little less or a little more flour - watch the consistency of the batter. It should be like thick sour cream.
Step 5
Prepare the filling: peel the pears, remove the cores and slice them into thin wedges.
Step 6
Depending on the pan you use, you can lightly grease it with butter/oil or line it with parchment. My pan does not need greasing. Place part of the pears on the bottom of the baking pan. Pour half of the batter on top.
Step 7
Arrange the remaining pears over the batter. Pour in the remaining batter. Preheat the oven in advance to 190°C (about 375°F) for 10-20 minutes.
Step 8
Bake the cake for about 35 minutes at 190°C (375°F). Ovens work differently, so the time and temperature are approximate - focus on your own oven.
Step 9
Take the finished cake out of the oven, let it cool slightly, then invert it onto a serving plate so that the pears are on top. Enjoy!
