Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use ground meat from any type of meat. I’m using pork. Pasta nests are sold already shaped into round bundles.
Step 2
Peel the onion and garlic, rinse, and chop. Finely dice the onion and press the garlic through a garlic press. Add both to the ground meat. Season with a little salt and spices and mix until smooth.
Step 3
Prepare a deep skillet and add a bit of vegetable oil. Arrange the pasta nests inside. Do not place them too close together - they expand as they cook.
Step 4
Fill each pasta nest with the meat mixture.
Step 5
In a separate glass, mix tomato paste with water and add a little salt. You may add some ground pepper.
Step 6
Pour the tomato sauce over the meat-filled nests and place the skillet over heat. Bring to a boil. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes. Cooking time may vary based on your stove. Check doneness by the softness of the pasta. Spoon sauce over the nests during cooking.
Step 7
Sprinkle grated cheese over the nests 1-2 minutes before they finish cooking. Serve the ready pasta nests on plates. This is a complete main course! Enjoy!
