Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Use any sausages you like and choose a cheese according to your taste.
Step 2
Remove the casings or wrappers from the sausages if needed. Cut each sausage lengthwise almost from end to end, without cutting all the way through, to form a pocket.
Step 3
Grate the cheese and mix it with the mayonnaise. Add a couple of garlic cloves pressed through a garlic press and stir until evenly combined.
Step 4
The cheese filling should be thick rather than runny, so do not add too much mayonnaise.
Step 5
Fill each sausage with the prepared cheese mixture.
Step 6
Heat a frying pan and add a little vegetable oil. Place the sausages in the pan with the filled side facing down and cook for about 1 minute.
Step 7
Turn the sausages onto their sides and continue cooking so they brown evenly all around.
Step 8
Cook until the sausages are browned on all sides and the cheese filling is hot and melted.
Step 9
Transfer the cheese-filled sausages to a plate and serve as a snack or with your favorite side dish.
