Preparation
Step 1
How to pan-fry pork ribs with onions? Prepare everything you need. Cut the ribs so that each piece has 1-2 ribs.
Step 2
Rinse the pork ribs under running water and pat dry with a paper towel. Blot off all moisture very thoroughly.
Step 3
Peel the onion and garlic, rinse with cold water, and chop. Slice the onion into half-rings, and press the garlic through a garlic press.
Step 4
Use a frying pan with a wide, flat bottom so as many ribs as possible fit in a single layer. Heat it until hot and add a little vegetable oil. Add the ribs and sear over high heat for 12-15 minutes, turning them so they brown evenly.
Step 5
The ribs should brown very well and become deeply golden and appetizing.
Step 6
Now add the chopped onion and garlic to the pan. Fry everything together for a couple of minutes, stirring. Then pour in a little hot water and simmer the ribs, covered, over low heat for 20-40 minutes (depending on how tender the meat is). Season with a little salt and spices to taste.
Step 7
The meat should become tender. As it cooks, the water will evaporate, and the ribs will turn out juicy and delicious.
Step 8
Transfer the cooked ribs to a serving dish and serve hot. Fresh vegetables are a perfect side. Enjoy your meal!
