Oven-Baked Turkey Drumstick in a Roasting Bag
Juicy, fragrant, golden, and easy to make! Turkey drumstick baked in a roasting bag cooks very quickly. Most of the time goes to marinating the meat, which is best left overnight in the fridge. If you like, serve it with any side dish or a vegetable salad.

Preparation
Step 1
How to bake a turkey drumstick in a roasting bag? First, measure out the ingredients you need. Turkey legs come in different sizes, so keep that in mind - I indicated the amount in kilograms. In pieces, that may be 1-3 turkey legs for some people. I used 1 drumstick. You can bake chicken the same way. If you’re using frozen meat, thaw it first.
Step 2
Make the marinade. There are no secrets here - you simply mix everything in one container. If you want, add something else and adjust the proportions to your taste.
Step 3
In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, mustard, black pepper, and salt. Add garlic pressed through a garlic press. Mix well until smooth. It’s best to use runny honey. If your honey has crystallized, warm it gently in a water bath to make mixing easier.
Step 4
Rinse the turkey drumstick well under running water. Pull out any remaining feathers, if there are any. Pat dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Step 5
Coat the turkey drumstick on all sides with the marinade. Refrigerate and marinate overnight. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap.
Step 6
Transfer the marinated drumstick together with the marinade into a roasting bag. Add rosemary sprigs if desired. Tie the bag and pierce it in a few places so steam can escape. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 356°F for about 1.5 hours. Adjust the time and temperature to your oven.
