Oven-Baked Chicken Pieces
Very tasty, simple, inexpensive - every day feels like a celebration! For oven-baked chicken pieces you can use any parts of the chicken. Make it either a family budget meal or a refined dish for a special occasion. It’s filling, juicy, great with or without sauce, and pairs well with vegetable sides and salads.

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Use any parts of the chicken; fillet works too. Rinse under running water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut into pieces of similar size and place in a large bowl. You may replace chicken with turkey or another meat, but note that cooking time, oven temperature, and calories will change.
Step 2
Add spices to the chicken: salt, curry, and paprika. Use any seasonings you like. At this stage, you may add garlic if desired. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 392°F about 10-30 minutes before baking.
Step 3
Add mayonnaise to the bowl. Any mayo will work; it helps keep the meat tender and juicy.
Step 4
Mix thoroughly so every piece is evenly coated with the marinade. Leave to marinate for 1.5-2 hours. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, a lid, or a plate.
Step 5
Before baking, prepare a baking dish (or a sheet pan). Grease the bottom and sides with vegetable oil. Lightly sprinkle with breadcrumbs so the chicken won’t stick. If you’re worried about burning, line the bottom with parchment paper.
Step 6
Arrange all the chicken pieces in the dish. Bake in a preheated 200°C / 392°F oven for about 1 hour. After 40-50 minutes, pierce pieces with a sharp knife: if the juices aren’t pink, the chicken is done. If unsure, bake 10-20 minutes longer. Exact time and temperature depend on your oven.
Step 7
Remove the cooked chicken from the oven, cool slightly, and serve with boiled rice, buckwheat, or mashed potatoes to soak up the tasty sauce. A light vegetable salad or fresh seasonal vegetables make a perfect fresh accent. For a picnic, it’s also delicious cold. Cool the chicken and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Enjoy!
