- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
How do you bake homemade oatmeal cookies from rolled oats with kefir in the oven? Prepare all the ingredients. Melt the butter in a double boiler or in the microwave. Add the honey, egg, kefir, and baking soda to the melted butter once it has cooled to room temperature, then mix everything thoroughly. I also added a pinch of cinnamon for aroma.
Step 2
Grind the rolled oats in a blender. Use regular rolled oats, not instant oats.
Step 3
In a large bowl, mix the ground oats, the flour sifted through a fine sieve, the sugar, and the salt. Sifting the flour will aerate it and make the baked goods fluffier.
Step 4
Then gradually add the butter mixture to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Step 5
If you like, you can add your favorite dried fruit and nuts to the dough. I added dried cranberries and walnuts. To keep the dried fruit pieces from sticking together, toss them with a small amount of flour. Mix the dough again and place it in the freezer for 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
Step 6
Moisten your hands and a dessert spoon with water and form a ball about the size of a walnut. Line the baking tray with parchment paper and place the balls about 2 cm, about 3/4 inch, apart from each other. Put them into the oven preheated to 190°C (375°F) and bake for about 15 minutes. It took 13 minutes in my oven. Your baking time may be slightly longer or shorter, so watch your oven. Bake until lightly golden.
Step 7
Enjoy your meal!
