Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients needed for making the dessert.
Step 2
Place the chopped strawberries in a saucepan, pour in the water, and add the cornstarch.
Step 3
Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously. Mash the strawberries further with a fork. Simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool completely.
Step 4
Place the cookies in a food processor and blend into fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a bowl.
Step 5
Pour the melted butter over the crumbs and mix very well until the mixture resembles wet sand.
Step 6
Transfer the crumb mixture to the dish in which the dessert will be layered. Spread and press the crumbs firmly to form a sturdy base. Place the dish in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to allow the base to set.
Step 7
In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat well until smooth and creamy.
Step 8
Pour in 350 ml of heavy cream and continue beating until a thick, firm cream forms.
Step 9
Spread the prepared cream evenly over the chilled cookie base.
Step 10
Spread the prepared strawberry puree over the cream layer. Spoon it on and spread it evenly so that the cream layer is completely covered. Refrigerate the dessert for 2 hours to allow it to set.
Step 11
Just before serving, whip the remaining heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
Step 12
Spread the whipped cream over the strawberry layer.
Step 13
Garnish with fresh strawberries and serve.
