Easy
About 10 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Use low-fat milk (around 1%). If you use full-fat milk, it may boil over in the multicooker, so dilute it slightly with water.
Step 2
Grease the bottom and sides of the multicooker bowl with a piece of butter. This helps prevent the milk from boiling over. Leave small pieces of butter at the bottom.
Step 3
Pour hot water over the millet and leave it for 1-2 minutes. This removes the thin film that causes bitterness. Drain the hot water and rinse the millet with cold water. Rinse the rice several times in cold water as well. Drain both grains thoroughly.
Step 4
Transfer the rinsed grains into the multicooker bowl.
Step 5
Add sugar and a pinch of salt to the grains. Adjust sugar to taste.
Step 6
Pour the milk into the bowl and stir. Close the lid and set the multicooker to the “Milk Porridge” mode for 40 minutes. (Time may vary depending on your model.) Do not open the lid while cooking.
Step 7
When the multicooker signals that the porridge is ready, carefully open the lid. The grains will have absorbed the milk. Stir well and serve.
Step 8
You can top the porridge with fresh berries. Enjoy your meal!
