Preparation
Step 1
How do you make milk oatmeal porridge in a multicooker? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. I prefer regular rolled oats, as I consider them more wholesome than quick-cooking oatmeal. But you can choose according to your preference.
Step 2
Grease the bottom and sides of the multicooker bowl well with half of the butter. You can also grease it with regular vegetable oil if you prefer.
Step 3
Pour the rolled oats into the bowl.
Step 4
Add the sugar and salt to the oats. You can use not only regular sugar, but also brown or cane sugar. It will give the porridge a subtle caramel aroma. It is better to sweeten it to your taste after the porridge is cooked.
Step 5
Pour the milk into the bowl with the oats and mix. Place the bowl into the multicooker and turn on the “Milk Porridge” mode for 35 minutes.
Step 6
Different multicooker manufacturers may use different names for the modes, so check your model and its instructions. My helper has 2 cooking modes: “Oatmeal” and “Milk Porridge.” In the “Oatmeal” mode, the porridge cooks for 20 minutes and turns out quite runny. In the “Milk Porridge” mode, it cooks for 35 minutes and turns out thick, just the way I like it.
Step 7
After the sound signal, turn off the keep-warm function, but leave the porridge to stand for another 5–7 minutes so it can infuse. The cooking time depends on the power of your multicooker, so use yours as a guide.
Step 8
Taste the porridge. Look how it turns out!
Step 9
Divide it among plates and serve, adding butter. If desired, you can add fresh berries, jam, dried fruit, raisins, nuts, chocolate, or drizzle it with honey. Enjoy!
