Lean Yeast Fritters with Poppy Seeds

Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients and seasonings for quickly making fluffy lean fritters.
Step 2
Add 1 teaspoon of dry yeast to a bowl with 300 g of flour.

Add 3 tablespoons of sugar to the bowl with the flour.
Step 4
Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of baking powder to the bowl with the flour.

Add 1 tablespoon of steamed culinary poppy seeds to the bowl with the flour and mix all the dry ingredients together.

Pour 300 ml of warm boiled water into the bowl with the dry ingredients.

Mix all the ingredients in the bowl quite quickly and thoroughly.

Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the bowl.

Mix all the ingredients in the bowl once again until smooth and place it in a warm spot for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, the batter in the bowl has risen well and is ready for frying.

Spoon the batter into a preheated skillet with the needed amount of vegetable oil.

Fry the fritters in the skillet over medium heat until golden on both sides.

Place the finished fritters on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.
