Lazy Apple Pie with Sugar and Lemon (Oven-Baked)

Step 1
How to quickly and easily make an apple pie with lemon zest and juice that will impress with its flavor? First prepare all ingredients for this fragrant homemade dessert made with crumbly dough and fruit.
Step 2
For the filling, place a suitable pan on the stove. Add 50 g of sugar and caramelize it over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Step 3
Cut 850 g of peeled apples into small cubes and add them to the pan.
Step 4
Using a small strainer, add the juice of one lemon to the apples and grate in the zest of the same lemon.
Step 5
Stir and cook the apples for 8-10 minutes over low heat. Remove from the stove and let the filling cool.
Step 6
For the dough, sift 350 g of all-purpose flour into a large bowl. Add 100 g of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix the dry ingredients.

Add 250 g of slightly frozen baking margarine or butter, cut into small cubes.

Rub the mixture with your hands until it becomes a uniform crumb.

Take a baking dish and pour half of the crumbly dough into it, spreading and pressing it evenly.

Add the cooled apple filling and spread it out evenly.

Add the remaining crumb dough on top in an even layer. Place the pie into a preheated 180°C (350°F) oven and bake 35-40 minutes until golden.

Slice the finished apple pie into portions and serve.
