About 10 min.
Preparation
Step 1
How do you fry frozen cutlets in a pan? Very easily. Prepare everything you need. The cutlets can be either homemade or store-bought, the choice is yours.
Step 2
If the cutlets have a noticeable layer of frost, remove it carefully so as not to damage the breading, if there is any. This step applies more to store-bought cutlets than to homemade ones. There is no need to remove a very thin, barely noticeable layer of frost.
Step 3
Take a nonstick frying pan with medium-height sides. Put it over high heat and heat it well for a couple of minutes while it is still dry.
Step 4
Pour odorless sunflower oil into the hot pan and heat it for 20 seconds. Reduce the heat to medium. During frying, you can add more oil if needed.
Step 5
Place the frozen convenience cutlets into the pan and immediately cover it with a lid. Moisture will begin to evaporate right away as soon as it hits the hot oil. There will definitely be splatters, so protect your hands. Fry the cutlets over medium heat under the closed lid for about 1 minute. Then, and this is my main trick, simply move the cutlets gently from place to place with a spatula without turning them over, just restoring their free movement. This increases the chance that the cutlets will not burn.
Step 6
Then turn the cutlets over. You can add a little more sunflower oil. Cover with the lid and leave for another minute. Then repeat our trick: move the cutlets with the spatula and cover them again. After this, you can turn the cutlets every 2 minutes until they are done. Keep the heat at medium.
Step 7
When the cutlets are nicely browned, you can remove the lid. Gradually the cutlets will cook through completely inside. In total, I fried mine for 15 minutes and turned them more than 4 times, but everyone’s timing will be different. Serve the fried frozen cutlets with any side dish and vegetables or salad. Any sauce will complement them well. Enjoy your meal!
