Easy
About 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Cut the red cabbage into large pieces, cover it with water so that the water completely covers the cabbage, and simmer for 20-30 minutes after it comes to a boil over low heat. Let the cabbage cool completely in the liquid. Boil the eggs until hard-boiled for 8-10 minutes. Strain the cooled cabbage and add 1 tablespoon of vinegar to the liquid - the natural dye is ready.
Step 3
Now let’s decorate the eggs. Take a bottle-cleaning brush, coat it with butter, and use the butter to make any pattern you like on a white egg. The places where the pattern is applied will not be colored. Lower the egg into the dye. Repeat this with all the eggs. Remove the eggs after different lengths of time: the longer an egg stays in the dye, the brighter and more vibrant its color will be.
Step 4
I took out the first egg after 20 minutes and the last one after 24 hours. To avoid streaks, when removing the eggs, gently wipe them with a cloth and dry them on a rack. After removing all the eggs, rub them with vegetable oil for a richer color and shine.
Step 5
The Easter eggs dyed with natural red cabbage coloring are ready. Enjoy your meal!
