Preparation
Step 1
How do you make homemade vegetable pizza in the oven? First, prepare the topping. Get the ingredients ready for it. Use 1 small zucchini or half of a medium one. I used bell peppers of different colors so it would look pretty. Instead of cherry tomatoes, you can also use regular tomatoes. Besides these vegetables, any others you like or have on hand will work well.
Step 2
Wash the zucchini, pat it dry, and cut it into thin rounds.
Step 3
Wash the bell pepper, remove the seeds, and cut it as you like. I cut it into strips.
Step 4
Place the zucchini and pepper in a bowl, add the Herbes de Provence, olive oil, reserving a little for brushing the dough, and salt if desired. Mix everything well.
Step 5
Arrange the vegetables in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper.
Step 6
Bake them in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for 10–12 minutes, until tender.
Step 7
Next, prepare the dough. Get the ingredients ready for it.
Step 8
How do you make the dough? Sift the flour into a bowl and add the salt. It is important to sift the flour to aerate it. Then the dough will turn out light and will rise well during baking.
Step 9
Make a well in the flour, pour in the boiling water, and mix.
Step 10
Then pour in the olive oil and the beaten egg. Mix.
Step 11
Knead a soft, elastic dough. Be prepared for the possibility that you may need a little more or a little less flour than the recipe states. Focus not on the exact amount of flour, but on the desired dough consistency.
Step 12
Wash the dill, pat it dry, and chop it finely.
Step 13
Remove the mozzarella from the brine, pat it dry, and cut it into slices.
Step 14
Wash the cherry tomatoes, pat them dry, and cut each one into 4 pieces.
Step 15
Grate the hard cheese on a fine grater.
Step 16
Roll the dough out on parchment paper into a thin round and make small edges. Brush the dough with olive oil. From this amount of dough, I made one pizza 24 cm (about 9 1/2 inches) in diameter and one small pizza 11 cm (about 4 1/4 inches) in diameter.
Step 17
Spread the dough with tomato sauce. I used homemade tomato sauce. You can replace it with ketchup or another store-bought option.
Step 18
Sprinkle the pizza with dill.
Step 19
Arrange the mozzarella slices evenly on top.
Step 20
Place the baked zucchini rounds over it.
Step 21
Then add the bell pepper.
Step 22
Arrange the cherry tomatoes evenly.
Step 23
Sprinkle the top of the pizza with the grated cheese.
Step 24
Bake the vegetable pizza in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes. Cut the finished pizza into portions and serve. Enjoy your meal!
