Easy
About 45 min.
Preparation
Step 1
For the filling, use lightly salted salmon, trout, or pink salmon. Avocado pairs wonderfully with everything, so use it if possible.
Step 2
Pour rice vinegar into a small bowl, add sugar, and mix well until the sugar fully dissolves.
Step 3
Rinse the rice in cold clean water. Place it into a pot, cover with water, salt to taste, and cook for 12-15 minutes until fully done. Add the vinegar mixture to the cooked rice, mix, and let it cool for about 20 minutes.
Step 4
Place a sushi rolling mat on a flat surface. Lay a sheet of nori on top, shiny side down.
Step 5
Spread a thin, even layer of cooked rice over the nori, leaving a 2-cm border at one edge.
Step 6
Add cream cheese, pieces of red fish, and thinly sliced cucumber on top of the rice. Moisten the empty nori edge with cold water using your fingers.
Step 7
Carefully start rolling from the bottom up using the sushi mat.
Step 8
Form a tight roll, pressing gently to keep it firm.
Step 9
Beat an egg until smooth and pour it onto a plate. Pour breadcrumbs onto another plate.
Step 10
Cut the roll in half to make frying easier. Dip each half into the egg mixture.
Step 11
Then coat in breadcrumbs.
Step 12
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan. Fry the rolls on all sides until golden and crispy.
Step 13
While the rolls are still warm, slice into portions and serve immediately.
