About 10 min.
Preparation
Step 1
The amount and proportion of ingredients depend entirely on your preferences. You can add more ham and tomatoes or more eggs and cheese.
Step 2
Cut the ham into small cubes.
Step 3
Heat a frying pan for the omelette until hot and pour in a little vegetable oil. Add the diced ham and fry it for about one minute over low heat.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, combine eggs with milk. Add a little salt and spices. Whisk everything until smooth. When adding salt, keep in mind that ham is already salty and will season the omelette.
Step 5
Add grated cheese to the egg mixture. Use any cheese that melts well and grates easily. Mix the cheese into the eggs.
Step 6
Wash the tomatoes, cut them in half, and remove the stems. Dice the tomatoes and add them to the pan with the ham. Fry for another couple of minutes until the tomatoes soften.
Step 7
Pour the egg mixture over the ham and tomatoes and cover the pan with a lid. Cook the omelette on low heat for 5-7 minutes (about 200-210°F / 93-99°C inside). The ingredients should cook through evenly. Avoid high heat to prevent burning.
Step 8
Remove the cooked omelette from the heat and serve hot. Sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving. Enjoy!
