Preparation
Step 1
How do you make dried fruit uzvar? Prepare the dried fruits you need. I’ve listed approximate amounts. Feel free to add a bit more of what you like, swap one fruit for another, or use 2-3 kinds instead of 4 like I did.
Step 2
Rinse the dried fruits well in cold water to remove dust and any impurities. Then pour boiling water over them. Let stand for a couple of minutes, then drain.
Step 3
Slice a few pieces of fresh ginger root. Add a little clove for aroma.
Step 4
Even better: wrap the pot in a warm blanket so it cools slowly. Strain the infused uzvar through several layers of cheesecloth to remove fine particles. Then you can return the dried fruits back to the drink, or add them directly to the glass when serving. Sweeten with a little honey to taste.
Step 5
Pour the finished uzvar into a jug and enjoy. Enjoy your treat!
