Crumbly Chocolate Chip Cookies
Delicious, sweet cookies with chocolate inside and on top. These crumbly chocolate chip cookies are made very quickly from the simplest ingredients. They turn out thin and crisp. They are, of course, very sweet, but you can reduce the amount of sugar a little.

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making American-style chocolate chip cookies. For the chocolate chips, use dark or bittersweet chocolate and chop it with a knife. Take the butter out in advance, as it needs to become soft. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
Place the softened butter into a deep bowl and add the sugar. Brown sugar is better, of course, because it gives a more caramel-like flavor. But these cookies turn out just as good with regular white sugar.
Step 3
Beat the butter and sugar into a smooth, fluffy mixture.
Step 4
Crack both eggs and add them to the bowl with the whipped butter. It is a good habit to crack each egg one at a time into a separate bowl first. That way, if one egg is spoiled, it will not ruin the whole mixture. Beat everything again until smooth.
Step 5
Sift the flour through a fine sieve and add it to the bowl with the whipped butter and eggs. Add the salt, baking powder, and vanilla. Quickly mix into a soft, sticky dough. It is better to do this with a mixer or a spoon so the dough does not soften too much from the warmth of your hands. Do not knead this dough for long, it does not like that.
Step 6
Add the chopped chocolate to the dough and mix again.
Step 7
Line a baking tray with baking paper or a silicone mat. Spoon the dough onto the tray with a teaspoon, leaving about 2 cm (about 3/4 inch) between the portions, because it spreads a lot.
Step 8
Place the tray with the cookies into the hot oven and bake for 15 minutes. Do not overbake them, otherwise the cookies will become too dry, though still very tasty. Remove the tray and let the cookies cool.
Step 9
