Cottage Cheese Crescent Rolls with Jam, Sugar, and Vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making perfect sweet cottage cheese crescent rolls.
Step 2
Place 250 g (about 2 cups) of sifted flour into a large bowl and add 1/3 teaspoon of salt.
Step 3
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar to the bowl.
Step 4
Also add 1 teaspoon of baking powder to the bowl.
Step 5
Mix all the ingredients in the bowl well.
Step 6
Grate 200 g (about 7 oz) of frozen butter into the bowl with the flour using a coarse grater.
Step 7
Mix all the ingredients in the bowl well again.
Step 8
Add 350 g (about 12.3 oz) of cottage cheese to the bowl.
Step 9
Add 2 egg yolks to the bowl.
Step 10
Mix everything in the bowl until smooth and knead a layered cottage cheese dough.

Gather the dough into a ball in the bowl, then place it in a plastic bag and refrigerate it for 1 hour.

Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and sprinkle a little flour on the table.
Step 13
Place the first part of the dough on the table and roll it out into a fairly thin round, about 1/2 cm, about 1/4 inch, thick.

Cut and divide the round into 8 roughly equal pieces.

Sprinkle each piece with sugar to taste.

Carefully roll each sugared piece into a tight crescent roll.

Cut the second rolled round into equal pieces, then spread a small even layer of jam on each one.

Carefully roll each jam-filled piece into a tight crescent roll.

Place the rolled crescent rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the crescent rolls with beaten egg.

Place the baking sheet into an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) for 20 minutes, then leave the baking sheet with the crescent rolls in the turned-off oven with the door slightly open for 2 minutes.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and, after dusting the crescent rolls with powdered sugar to taste, place them on a plate. Enjoy your meal and tea time!
