Preparation
Step 1
Choose high-quality condensed milk with no vegetable fats or additives. The ingredients should only be milk and sugar - the taste of your dessert depends on this. Select a medium lemon weighing about 5.5-6 oz (150-160 g).
Step 2
Wash the lemon thoroughly under running water with baking soda to remove dirt and the wax coating used for preservation. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice. To keep seeds out, place a small sieve over the cup while juicing.
Step 3
Pour the condensed milk into a mixing bowl, then add the lemon juice. You can adjust the amount of lemon juice to taste - use less if you prefer a milder flavor.
Step 4
Using a mixer with standard whisk attachments, start beating the mixture at low speed, then switch to medium. Beat for about 10 minutes.
Step 5
The cream will turn lighter and fluffier and will thicken noticeably. After chilling in the refrigerator for a few hours, it becomes even thicker.
Step 6
Transfer the finished cream into serving cups or dessert bowls. Chill well before serving. Serve the dessert with fresh berries, cookies, or sponge cake. Enjoy!
