Preparation
Step 1
How to make cocoa with sweetened condensed milk? Prepare the ingredients. You can use milk of any fat content. For the cream, 10-15% is enough, but you can use higher-fat cream - then the taste will be creamier and richer. Use natural cocoa powder with no added sugar.
Step 2
Pour the milk and cream into a small saucepan. Heat until almost boiling - do not boil. As soon as steam starts to rise and it looks like it’s about to boil, remove the saucepan from the heat.
Step 3
Add the cocoa powder to the hot milk mixture and stir well so there are no lumps. A whisk works best.
Step 4
Then pour in the sweetened condensed milk and immediately whisk it into the mixture. If you like a sweeter drink, add more condensed milk.
Step 5
Whisk the mixture a little until foam appears. Then place the saucepan back on the stove and cook over low heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. The condensed milk will fully dissolve and the cocoa will thicken slightly. Most importantly, do not let the cocoa boil.
Step 6
Pour the hot cocoa into prepared mugs.
Step 7
For garnish, you can use whipped cream or marshmallows, fresh berries, or mint leaves. The tasty, aromatic cocoa is ready - enjoy it hot! Bon appétit!
