Classic Crab Salad with Corn, No Rice
Made from simple ingredients, yet very tasty and delicate. Classic crab salad with corn and no rice will appeal to adults, children, and even unexpected guests. It suits both a festive table and an everyday meal, and it can also make an excellent dinner.

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Use chilled crab sticks, though crab meat will also work. You can replace the mayonnaise with sour cream or Greek yogurt. Use large eggs. Before boiling them, check that they are fresh. Place them in a container of room-temperature water: if an egg sinks, it is fresh. If it floats, it is better not to use it.
Step 2
Peel the crab sticks. If you are using frozen crab sticks, they need to be thawed properly. Take the package out of the freezer, place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, and only then let it finish thawing at room temperature. Cut the sticks in any convenient way, but I recommend chopping them fairly small.
Step 3
Wash the cucumber well under running water, dry it, and cut it into small cubes as well. The salad will look prettier and more balanced if all the ingredients are cut into pieces that are as similar in size as possible.
Step 4
Hard-boil the eggs for about 8 minutes after the water comes to a boil. Immediately cover the cooked eggs with cold water, which will make them much easier to peel. Peel the eggs and cut them into small cubes.
Step 5
Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl or salad bowl. Drain the excess liquid from the corn and add it to the salad. In season, canned corn can easily be replaced with regular boiled corn. Salt the salad to your taste. I use regular sea salt, but you can also use seasoned salt.
Step 6
Dress the salad with mayonnaise. You can also use homemade mayonnaise. Mix everything together, transfer the salad to a serving bowl, and serve.
Step 7
Serve the crab salad with corn and no rice in a deep salad bowl, piled on a flat platter, or shaped with a culinary ring. If desired, decorate it with fresh herbs. Enjoy your meal!
