Classic Chicken Liver Cake

Step 1
How to make a classic chicken liver cake with carrots? First, prepare all the ingredients for the filling.
Step 2
Scrub the carrot, remove the peel with a peeler or any convenient way, and grate it on a coarse grater.
Step 3
Prepare all the ingredients for the liver layers. Chicken liver can be replaced with any other liver. Rinse the liver and remove the membranes.
Step 4
Add sour cream, the egg, and salt to the blended liver and mix. Then add the flour to this mixture. Blend everything again until well combined. The batter should resemble pancake batter. If it turns out too thick, add a little milk or water; if too thin, add some more flour.
Step 5
Pour a bit of vegetable oil into a preheated pan and fry the liver pancakes on both sides for 1.5-2 minutes each. My pan is 26 cm (about 10 in) in diameter.
Step 6
Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press or grate on a fine grater.

Add the garlic to the mayonnaise and mix.
Step 8
Spread each liver layer with the garlic mayonnaise, then put 1-2 tablespoons of the carrot-onion filling on top (depending on the size of the pancakes) and carefully spread it out evenly.
Step 9
For decoration, grate the hard cheese on a fine grater, cut the tomatoes in halves, and divide the parsley into small sprigs. Spread mayonnaise over the top layer of the cake, place the remaining stewed vegetables on top, sprinkle with cheese, and arrange the cherry tomatoes and parsley. You can choose any other decoration you like. Put the cake into the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to soak.
