Table of volume measurements:
- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
How to make beef lagman in a multicooker? First, prepare all the ingredients from the list. If the meat is frozen, take it out of the freezer in advance and let it thaw at room temperature.
Step 2
Rinse the beef, pat it dry, and cut it into small, evenly sized cubes. By the way, beef is easier to cut if it’s not fully thawed.
Step 3
Pour a small amount of neutral vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl. Set the “Fry” or “Bake” mode. When the oil is hot, add the beef to brown.
Step 4
Close the lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes. Open the lid occasionally and stir the meat so nothing burns.
Step 5
Meanwhile, prep the vegetables. Peel the potatoes, carrot, onion, and garlic. Cut the bell peppers in half and remove the seeds and core. Remove the stems from the eggplant and tomatoes. If you like, peel the eggplant - I don’t. Rinse all the vegetables.
Step 6
Dice the carrot, onion, eggplant, bell peppers, and potatoes into small cubes. You can choose any cutting style you prefer.
Step 7
Add the onion and carrot to the beef and stir.
Step 8
After a couple of minutes, add the potatoes, bell pepper, and eggplant. Stir again and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 9
Next add finely chopped tomatoes. You can peel the tomatoes beforehand if you want. Add tomato paste. Salt to taste and sprinkle with your favorite spices. You can use a lagman seasoning blend.
Step 10
Pour in boiling water. How much water? It depends on how thick you want the gravy. I added 1 liter of boiling water and got a medium-thick gravy.
Step 11
Close the lid and set the “Stew” mode. Mine automatically set 1 hour. Cook until done. 5 minutes before the end, add finely chopped garlic and herbs.
Step 12
Boil spaghetti or special lagman noodles according to the package directions. Drain in a colander.
Step 13
Put the noodles into a deep bowl and add the aromatic gravy from the multicooker (adjust the amount to taste). Garnish with fresh herbs and sprinkle with ground black pepper. Serve.
