Preparation
Step 1
How to make chopped chicken patties? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can use meat from any part of the chicken. For patties, I like to use thigh fillet - it isn’t as dry as breast. Use any herbs you like; I use fresh parsley.
Step 2
Rinse the chicken and pat it dry. Then cut it into very small pieces. To make chopping easier, you can slightly freeze the meat first - partly frozen meat can be chopped even finer.
Step 3
Peel the onion and rinse it in cold water. Then mince it - either chop very finely with a sharp knife or use a chopper. Combine the chicken and onion.
Step 4
Finely chop the herbs and add them to the bowl. Crack in the egg and add the starch. For juicier patties, add sour cream. Add a little salt and spices to taste.
Step 5
Mix everything well. The mixture will become thick and sticky.
Step 6
Heat a skillet until hot and add a little vegetable oil. Spoon the mixture into the hot oil. Fry over low heat for 1-2 minutes per side. Don’t use high heat - the patties need time to cook through without burning. They’ll turn an appetizing golden color.
Step 7
The patties are best served hot - soft, tender, and juicy. They barely have time to cool at our house. Serve with any side dish or a fresh vegetable salad. Enjoy your meal!
