Preparation
Step 1
How do you make chicken with cream and cheese in a skillet? Prepare the ingredients. You can use any parts of the chicken. I’m using chicken breast fillets - I like them because there are no bones. You can use cream with any fat percentage; the higher the fat, the richer and creamier the finished dish will taste.
Step 2
For frying, use a comfortable wide skillet with sides. Heat the skillet until hot and add a little vegetable oil. Add the chicken and fry on all sides until golden.
Step 3
While the chicken is frying, prep the onion. Peel the onion and rinse it in cold water. Cut each onion in half, then slice into half-rings (or slightly smaller).
Step 4
Add the sliced onion to the skillet with the chicken. Stir and fry for another couple of minutes over high heat. Then lower the heat, cover with a lid, and cook for 15-20 minutes. The onion will release some juice - that should be enough to prevent burning. If the onion is too dry, add a little water. During this time the chicken will cook through and the onion will become very soft.
Step 5
Add a little salt and spices to the cream. Grate the cheese.
Step 6
Pour the seasoned cream into the skillet. Stir and bring to a boil. Then add a little minced garlic.
Step 7
Sprinkle the chicken with the grated cheese. Heat everything together for 1-2 minutes. The cheese will melt, and the sauce will thicken thanks to the cheese.
Step 8
The chicken in creamy cheese sauce is ready! It turns out very tasty and aromatic.
Step 9
Serve the chicken with cream and cheese with vegetables or any side dish. Enjoy your meal!
