Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. You can use any chicken pieces, either bone-in or boneless fillets. Use heavy cream for a richer sauce; the original recipe uses 33% fat cream.
Step 2
Cut the chicken into large pieces.
Step 3
Set the multicooker to the Sauté or Fry setting and let the bowl heat up. Peel the onion and cut it into half-rings or smaller pieces. Add a little vegetable oil to the bowl, then add the onion and cook for 3–5 minutes, until softened and translucent.
Step 4
Add the chicken pieces, stir and cook with the onion for another 3–4 minutes, until the outside of the chicken is no longer raw.
Step 5
Pour in about 200 ml hot water. Season with salt and your preferred spices; ground black pepper and a little paprika work well. Switch the multicooker to the Bake setting, set it for 30 minutes, close the lid and let the chicken cook.
Step 6
In a separate cup, mix 150 ml water with the flour until smooth, then stir in the cream. Peel 2 garlic cloves.
Step 7
About 10 minutes before the end of cooking, open the lid, pour in the cream mixture and add the finely chopped or pressed garlic. Stir, close the lid and continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
Step 8
When the cooking cycle is finished, carefully open the multicooker. Divide the chicken and cream sauce among plates and serve hot with your favorite side dish.
