Preparation
Step 1
How to make chicken fillet with mushrooms in a skillet? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can cut up a whole chicken and keep bone-in pieces, or you can use chicken fillet. I did it this way. For the fillet, you can use breast meat or meat from drumsticks. For frying, I like using drumstick meat - it’s juicier than breast. Choose medium-size button mushrooms. Peel and wash the onion and carrot. Any mushrooms will work.
Step 2
Rinse the chicken fillet under running water and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Then cut the meat into long strips.
Step 3
Wash fresh button mushrooms and cut them into 4 pieces.
Step 4
Use a convenient skillet with a flat bottom. Heat it until hot and pour in a little vegetable oil. Add the sliced chicken and fry over medium heat until lightly browned. Stir from time to time so it doesn’t start to burn. Then add the chopped mushrooms to the meat.
Step 5
Chop the peeled vegetables - onion and carrot. Grate the carrot on a coarse grater and chop the onion. Add the onion and carrot to the skillet with the meat and mushrooms. Mix everything. Add a little salt, spices, and minced garlic. A chicken seasoning blend and a bit of ground pepper work great. Fry everything together over low heat for 10-15 minutes. During this time the chicken will cook through, and the vegetables will become soft.
Step 6
The tasty, aromatic chicken with mushrooms is ready! You can serve it with any side dish or fresh vegetables.
Step 7
Enjoy your meal!
