Preparation
Step 1
How do you bake chicken drumsticks with potatoes and mayonnaise? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For baking, you can take a whole chicken and cut it into pieces, or, as I did, use separate parts. Peel the potatoes and rinse them under running water to remove any dirt.
Step 2
Cut the peeled potatoes into large pieces.
Step 3
Add a little mayonnaise to the potatoes and salt them. Mix so that the potatoes are evenly coated with mayonnaise on all sides.
Step 4
Rinse the chicken drumsticks under running water and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Add mayonnaise to the chicken. Peel the garlic and press it directly into the bowl with the chicken. Add a little salt and spices to taste. As spices you can use ground pepper and paprika.
Step 5
Mix the chicken with the mayonnaise and spices.
Step 6
For baking, take any heatproof dish - glass, metal or, as in my case, ceramic. Put the potatoes in mayonnaise into the dish, spreading them evenly over the bottom.
Step 7
Place the chicken in mayonnaise on top of the potatoes. Pour a little hot water into the dish. This is needed so that the potatoes don’t dry out, but bake evenly.
Step 8
Bake the dish in an oven preheated to 190°C (about 375°F) for 1 hour. When baking, be guided by your oven. When the dish is ready, the potatoes will be soft, the chicken will be baked through and have an appetizing golden color. If you pierce the chicken with a knife, a clear light juice will appear.
Step 9
Take the finished dish out of the oven, arrange the potatoes and drumsticks on plates and serve. Enjoy your meal!
