Celery and Apple Smoothie in a Blender
In the finished drink you can add a pinch of salt, a little ground allspice, some honey or sugar to taste. Usually no more than three fruits or vegetables are combined in a smoothie at once so that the flavor of each component is clearly felt.

Preparation
Step 1
If you like a less sweet smoothie, add a few sprigs of parsley and a small amount of salad leaves to the celery, kiwi and apple. If you want a sweeter drink, add just a little honey.
Step 2
Rinse the apple, kiwi, celery stalk and parsley well and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
Step 3
Cut the apple into medium-sized cubes. You can peel it if you wish, but I usually don’t - the peel contains a lot of beneficial nutrients. Which apples are best for smoothies? Any variety will do. For a vegetable-style smoothie, I prefer sweet-and-sour apples.
Step 4
Peel the kiwi and cut it the same way as the apple.
Step 5
Put the chopped apple and kiwi into the blender jug.
Step 6
Blend until smooth.
Step 7
Cut the celery stalk into small pieces; if you like, you can peel off the outer fibers first. Roughly chop the parsley and salad leaves. Which salad leaves are best for a smoothie? Any you like: iceberg, romaine, lollo rosso, spinach, leaf lettuce and so on.
Step 8
Add the chopped parsley, celery and salad leaves to the blender with the fruit purée. Blend again until smooth.
Step 9
Add still mineral water to the mixture. You can increase or decrease the amount depending on how thick you want your drink to be. Stir everything together. I like a thick smoothie, so I added half the water amount - 50 ml. You can adjust the amount of water to your taste so the smoothie has exactly the consistency you like.
Step 10
Pour the finished smoothie into glasses, garnish with a sprig of fresh herbs and serve.
