Preparation
Step 1
First, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. What cheese is best for canapés? Any hard cheese, semi-hard cheese, or any blue cheese will work. You can add to or replace the vegetable part according to your taste. Slice the sausage very thinly, or even better, use pre-sliced sausage.
Step 2
Cut the cucumbers into slices about 1.5 cm thick, about 1/2 inch. There is no need to remove the peel if it is not tough, damaged, or bitter. Wash the cherry tomatoes, dry them, and cut them in half.
Step 3
Cut the feta into cubes measuring 1.5 x 1.5 cm, about 1/2 x 1/2 inch. Remove the black olives from the brine and dry them. You can replace black olives with green olives if you wish.
Step 4
To make canapés with feta, sausage, cucumber, and black olives, thread onto a skewer a black olive, a slice of sausage folded into quarters, a cube of feta, and a slice of cucumber. For canapés with feta, cherry tomatoes, and black olives, thread onto a skewer a black olive, half a cherry tomato, another black olive, the second half of the cherry tomato, and a cube of feta. Make 2 kinds of skewers until the ingredients run out. You can also make the skewers in any other variations you like.
Step 5
Arrange the canapés with black olives and cheese on a platter and serve. Refreshing unsweetened drinks go perfectly with them, for example chilled white wine, sparkling prosecco, or classic lemonade with mint. Enjoy your meal!
