Preparation
Step 1
How to braise beef with beans? Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Rinse the beans. Put them into a pot filled with clean water and place on the stove, adding a pinch of baking soda. This trick helps reduce the cooking time of the beans to about 25-30 minutes. Once they are cooked, drain the water.
Step 3
Rinse the beef and pat it dry with paper towels; otherwise excess moisture will prevent it from frying and it will just stew. Cut the beef into slices. Heat a frying pan, add vegetable oil. Put in the beef and fry, stirring, until golden brown.
Step 4
Peel the carrot and cut it into large pieces.
Step 5
Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings.
Step 6
Add the onion and carrot to the browned meat.
Step 7
When the vegetables become soft, add hot water. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 40-50 minutes, occasionally adding more water if needed.
Step 8
When the meat is tender, add hot chili pepper, garlic, salt and ground black pepper. To keep the gravy from being too thin, thicken it with flour. In a small bowl, mix flour with a little cold water, then pour this mixture into the meat.
Step 9
Add the boiled beans. Bring to a boil, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for about 10 more minutes.
Step 10
Finely chop the herbs. Add them to the pan and turn off the heat. It’s best to remove the chili pepper and garlic from the finished dish.
Step 11
The braised beef with beans is ready. Enjoy your meal!
