Beef Liver Fritters
Healthy and tasty, easy and simple, for the whole family! Beef liver fritters are easier to make than cooking liver as a main dish. You blend everything in a blender and then fry in oil in a pan. You can also bake them in the oven for a lighter version. This dish is suitable for children’s meals.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you make beef liver fritters? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. It is best to use fresh beef liver, because the fritters will turn out softer and more tender. Their flavor depends directly on the quality of the main ingredient, the liver.
Step 2
Rinse the beef liver thoroughly, remove the membrane, inner ducts, and any blood clots. If you like, you can soak it in milk. This will make the liver even more tender. Pat the liver dry with a paper towel and cut it into medium-sized pieces.
Step 3
Place the beef liver into a blender bowl and blend until smooth. You should get a thick “mince”-like mixture. If your blender is small, it is better to blend the liver in batches, because a large amount is difficult to process and the appliance may overheat. If you have a food processor, you can blend the whole amount in it. If you do not have a blender, you can also grind the liver through a meat grinder.
Step 4
Add the milk, egg, flour, salt, and pepper to the blended beef liver.
Step 5
Blend everything again until smooth. This time the mixture will be fairly liquid.
Step 6
Pour the batter into a bowl and leave it at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. During this time, the flour will swell and thicken the batter. If after that time the batter still remains too liquid, sift in 1 more tablespoon of flour and mix. You can use semolina instead of flour.
Step 7
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Spoon the liver batter into the pan, forming small round fritters. Fry the liver fritters on both sides until done, adding vegetable oil from time to time. The exact frying time depends on the thickness of your pan, the heat level, and the consistency of the liver batter.
Step 8
Inside, the fritters should be brownish in color. During the first minutes of frying, blood may come out. In well-fried fritters there should be no blood either inside or outside, unless you prefer that degree of doneness. Transfer the finished fritters to a serving dish and serve. Absolutely any side dish will work well with them. Enjoy your meal!
