Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Choose any cheese that melts well, such as a simple semi-hard fermented cheese. Use sour cream of any fat percentage and add your favorite spices if desired. If using frozen pork or other meat, thaw it beforehand on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator.
Step 2
Wash and peel the vegetables. Cut the onion into small pieces and coarsely grate the carrot.
Step 3
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and cook the onion and carrot until golden.
Step 4
Finely chop the dill.
Step 5
Prepare the sour cream sauce by combining the chopped dill, salt, ground black pepper and sour cream.
Step 6
Pat the meat dry, cut the pork into small slices and arrange them over the bottom of a baking dish.
Step 7
Spread the sautéed vegetables evenly over the meat.
Step 8
Coarsely grate the cheese.
Step 9
Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the vegetable layer.
Step 10
Pour the prepared sour cream sauce over the top. Bake in an oven preheated to 350°F for approximately 1 hour, until the pork is tender and cooked through. Serve hot on its own or with your favorite side dish.
